Gameloft Teases Summer Update for Disney Dreamlight Valley with New Pirate Map
Gameloft spent the last weekend teasing the Disney Dreamlight Valley community with a teaser for an upcoming summer update. The teaser was a pirate-style map of the Valley that had the typical torn edges and a red “X” where the infamous Skull Rock would reside. So, fans are speculating Peter Pan and potentially Captain Hook could be coming to the game sooner than later.
Cryptic Map Created Speculation
The map was shown on the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account and the post read,
"Hmm.. looks like someone dropped this..." What could it mean?"
The design sat above the text, suggesting the possibility of a treasure hunt or adventure in connection with the Peter Pan universe. Since Skull Rock was prominent in the design, players can assume there will be new quests, characters, and themed items with a Neverland connection.
Expected Release Timeline June
Gameloft's road map shows the summer Disney Dreamlight Valley update is expected in June 2025. This continues a trend of two-month seasons of substantial updates. The last update of the season, "Wonderland Whimsy", expanded the roster of Disney characters with the new addition of Alice and the Cheshire Cat.
Possible Additions: Tinker Bell and More
There are some hopefuls who are suggesting Tinker Bell will also be included due to her popularity and legacy with Peter Pan. Some conversations on different Reddit threads seem to imply Tinker Bell and Peter Pan might be forthcoming.
Storybook Vale Expansion Continues
This summer update will presumably come alongside the 2nd part of the paid expansion, Storybook Vale: The Unwritten Realms, which will feature Maleficent and uncover a mystery or two about the Valley.
