Potential Expansion of Rdr 2’s House Building Mechanics in Gta 6
Rockstar Games might be bringing new aspects to the Grand Theft Auto series. Advanced house building could be added to GTA 6. They could be inspired by the building aspects from Red Dead Redemption 2's epilogue.
Building upon Red Dead Redemption 2
There is a sequence in Red Dead Redemption 2 where we see protagonist John Marston build a house, giving players a small example of customisation. This event was linearly guided but did set up the idea of building gameplay mechanics. In GTA 6, it is possible that they could take that idea further and allow players to design and customise their houses in a much more interactive manner.
Improved Property Customization in GTA 6
Possible things GTA 6 could have are:
- Interactive interiors: Players may be able to change furniture, decor, and layouts of their homes. Similar to options seen in other games like The Sims.
- Functional Spaces: Properties could have practical uses, for example, in-game storage for vehicles, weapons, or collectibles, which could significantly raise the importance of a property in gameplay.
- Dynamic Environments: If 40% of buildings are enterable and 60% destructible, we've never seen a world this interactive in a game before.
Community Expectations and Speculations
The gaming community appears to be very excited about more immersive property features. Based on conversations and informal discussions, it seems players would like the potential to have:
- Custom Safehouses: Truly personalise and customise their safehouse and upgrade it as they attain goals and rewards that fit them.
- Business Integration: Some speculate properties would act as a business front as well and provide more mission opportunities and income.
With additional house-building components described in Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6 could offer players a more involved and customised experience. Moreover, these improvements could change how property ownership is realised in the series, which would be a modern gaming standard of customisation and immersion.
