Lethal Company Update Revamps Radar, Adds Face Cam, and Hints Early Access Exit

Lethal Company, a viral co-op horror game that spurned a new subgenre, has received its first major update in months — and it comes with a very big statement: the game is nearing an exit from early access.

Radar Revamp and New Features

The update, announced by lone developer Zeekerss via Steam on June 1, 2025, revamps several core systems while also introducing new features to help with co-op gameplay. The radar is visually reworked with 2-D sprites, a directional compass, and a line pointing back to the level exit. The updates to the radar make the game easier to learn for players not playing as the designated "computer guy."

There is also a new face cam feature so players can see each other via the in-game terminal an added layer of immersion and communication in a scout and collect game.

New Content: Furniture, Creatures, and Interiors

A variety of new furniture has been added, including:

  • Refrigerator
  • Chair—Sofa Seater
  • Doghouse
  • Microwave
  • Electric Chair

Some of these can be interacted with and can even be used as loot storage, providing more strategic options in scavenging.

The update has also introduced a new creature with a daytime outdoor spawn called the Giant Sapsucker that is specific to the map Vow.

The mansion interior has undergone a massive rework as well. In total, around eight new rooms and hallways have been added. The vertical space was adjusted for better scale, and now there is logic in place for non-linear layouts to aid in exploration and replayability.

Updates on Lore and Vehicle

A new lore log, "Team Synergy," from the in-game character Sigurd, has been added to the map Artifice. More of these logs are planned in the near future, so keep going after these logs, as they will be rare loot!

On another positive note, the Company Cruiser has been upgraded with stronger materials, automatic stabilization, and a minuscule boost mechanic, all of which should take away frustrating moments you had with terrain.
