The Copper Golem in Minecraft is a Game-Changer!
Did you hear about Minecraft's Mob Vote in 2021? Well, here comes the exciting news – the new big Minecraft update is now giving life to the Copper Golem! That is right, the cute little guy who did not win the big mob vote is coming to Minecraft, and he is bringing new utility to your block!
Your New Favorite Buddy and Accessory for your Inventory
In a recent video with vanilla Minecraft game director Agnes Larsson (from a real copper mine) (seriously!), Mojang just revealed the Copper Golem. While the Copper Golem has evolved a little since 2021, now it is your new inventory helper! When you summon a Copper Golem, a copper chest will show up too. The Copper Golem will take items from the copper chest and take them to empty chests or to chests with existent items of the same type. The Copper Golem is all about keeping a clean inventory.
Copper Gets a Glow-Up: New Tools & Armor
And that’s not the only thing happening! This update also adds in what we haven’t seen since the Nether update: an entirely new tier of armour and tools made from copper! Copper has always been extremely common in Minecraft, but now Mojang is finally adding in the use case for it.
These new copper options will be a quick lifeline for players. Since copper is easier to find (or more abundant) than iron, it is intended to be a helpful step up for players beginning their journey or for players wanting to conserve their iron. Attempting to provide more balance to Minecraft's early game!
Mojang developers are not only balancing Minecraft but also seem to be continuously thinking outside the block. It is great to see developers pulling old ideas back and modifying/refining them to continue to build out Minecraft. Developing the original Copper Golem idea into something so useful, while also assigning copper a new use case, demonstrates Mojang's passion to balance and enhance Minecraft as a whole for everyone involved.
