Cyberpunk 2077 Major New Feature - This Is Huge
Cyberpunk 2077 just received a significant boost with the release of Update 2.13, but it's exclusive to PC players, leaving those on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S out of the loop for now. According to CD Projekt Red, there are no plans to bring this update to consoles, and the patch notes make it clear why.
The biggest highlight of the update is the addition of AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 with Frame Generation support. While this feature might not mean much to non-PC gamers, it’s a major upgrade for those with systems that can handle it.
One player even exclaimed, "this is huge," while others appreciated the unexpected inclusion. However, the update isn't perfect, as it only supports FSR 3.0, not the anticipated 3.1, which has left some fans disappointed after the developer previously hinted at its release over a year ago. Additionally, to enable the feature, users will need to turn on FSR upscaling, which isn't ideal for everyone but still a welcomed improvement for many.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.13 Patch Notes:
- Added support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 with Frame Generation. More details can be found on the official Support page.
- Intel Xe Super Sampling 1.3 support added.
- It is now possible to enable both DLAA and DLSS Ray Reconstruction simultaneously.
- A new "Utilities" tab in Settings has been introduced, relocating options such as HDD Mode, Hybrid CPU Utilization, and AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT).
- Various stability and visual improvements.
Although this update is limited to PC, Cyberpunk 2077 is available on multiple platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. For more information on the latest Cyberpunk 2077 updates, rumors, and deals, visit CD Projekt Red's official channels.
