Rematch Crossplay and Ranked Modes Are Finally Coming
The moment is finally here. Rematch, the thrilling soccer game from Sloclap, is going to start rolling out two of the biggest requested features since the game launched—crossplay support and new ranked queue modes. The developer recently outlined their incoming update, and fans have something to be excited about.
The First Update is next week
Sloclap confirmed next week will come another game patch with bug fixes and netcode optimisation to help ensure gameplay flows more smoothly. This is the start of an extensive patching and update period which will begin over the next few months.
Crossplay Will Be Coming in 6 - 9 Weeks
One of the most requested and anticipated desired features for the game is crossplay, and it is officially happening. According to Sloclap again, crossplay in Rematch will be available in 6 to 9 weeks so that we can all finally play and enjoy the game with players on other platforms.
Fans were understandably disappointed that the game launched without crossplay, but Sloclap assured the player base that crossplay was always planned. We can expect the community and game to strengthen and grow with this update.
Ranked Queue Expansion in Progress
Along with cross-play, a ranked queue experience is also in the works. While they aren't finalised yet, the studio is looking into ranked modes being 3v3 or 4v4. They are just looking to do this cautiously to not fragment the player base again.
While the ranked update would hypothetically launch within a few months of the crossplay experience launch.
Player Reporting System is on the Way
In line with crossplay, the game will also have a player reporting system. The reporting system is trying to help track and remove cheaters or exploit users from the experiences of all players as much as possible and make the competitive scene as fair as possible.
Sloclap has already done their part by actively banning cheaters and fixing exploits since launch. With this new reporting system, players will be able to participate as well.
