Hunt: Showdown price drops DLC costs may increase
The base game of Hunt: Showdown has gone through a pricing change, bringing good and bad news depending on whether you own the game or which DLCs you're looking to buy. Crytek announced plans to decrease the base game's price, making it more affordable for new players or those wanting it on another platform. However, this change is accompanied by adjustments to DLC prices, with some DLCs potentially becoming more expensive.
Crytek decided it was the right time to adjust Hunt: Showdown prices
Due to "profound changes coming in the August launch," including a new engine upgrade. As of July 11th, the base game's price on PC has been adjusted. Previously sold for under $15 during a sale, the price has now been set at $29.99, still a reduction from its original $39.99. This price cut will also apply to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions starting August 15th.
For the DLCs, prices are fluctuating. Crytek did not specify which DLCs would be affected, but some prices will increase while others will decrease. Hunt: Showdown offers over 50 DLCs on its Steam page, mostly consisting of different Hunters and weapons. Currently, the most expensive DLC is $14.99, which remains reasonable.
Crytek commented, "These changes will also affect DLC prices, which will witness various increases and decreases across all regions. The Blood Bonds will follow a similar model across upcoming updates. We have worked to make these changes at the right level to ensure that Hunt remains competitive, accessible, and affordable worldwide, while still supporting future development and new content for the game."
